Yeah, it's great to have a normal life, hang out with my Dad, eat brownies and all. But…sometimes I go look at that trophy. Like I'm drawn to it. I mean, I hated her. Still do. But there was something in that … Feeling so weak, so helpless, trapped in her body. Then the surge of power during the stuff in the science lab. Zapped back into my own body. The mad blizzard of her spell. Horrible. But also kinda amazing.
The…things, in the attic…I didn't tell Dad, and he hasn't snooped around much. At first, I didn't want to see. Then I was thinking I'd give some of it to Mr. Giles, you know, for what he did. But, everything's still in there. Maybe I should check it out, make sure it's safe and all.
I remember her threatening a transformation—transmogrification?—spell. Wonder what that would do? When we were watching that old movie, Star Wars, and the wizard guy used the Force? "These are not the droids you're looking for." She got a wild look in her eyes, and laughed, kinda like scornfully, and said something in a language, Latin I guess. Another time, she joked about a love spell. I know what that would be. I'd never mess with one of those. Or any of it. Never. Ever.
Damn, the bell. Worst part, she didn't do any schoolwork when she was me. I'm so far behind now, I'll never catch up. Ha-ha, wonder if there's a spell in that room to cast on your grades? Not that I'd ever do anything like that. Not me. Not after seeing what it did to her. That would be stupid.
But maybe when I get home, I'd better check the attic. You know, just to be sure everything's okay.
