We made it!

My one cab ride for the week, utility_knife . And it was a crazy one! So that is fitting. The apartment has a great view, and is on a part of the street loaded with live music venues. Crowded with youngish club-goers. It's nice to visit a place that is more culturally-diverse than where I came from; usually, you go the whole time not seeing many other types until you get to the boarding gate to fly home. Wonderful warm night. We went out walking at midnight! and felt perfectly safe. I can't believe I have 29 more nights here. It feels like it's going fast already.

Thanks for the welcome! I actually have been thinking what it would be like to live here. We'll see how I feel in 28 days.

Uhh, daily drawings? Are you falling behind? Dave's gonna win the contest if you don't watch out. :-) I'm not even a contestant (which is good b/c that would be soooo inappropriate in so many ways) but I'm trying to keep up, anyway.

Figure out a time to get together. My sis and I have just made three brunch/dinner/bluegrass-in-someone's-apt dates in this past hour.

i have excuses. seff's birthday was yesterday! now i have a day off tomorrow and am feeling kind of sick-ish so today/tomorrow probably devoted to livejournal posts about my feelings and drawing things.

Oh, cool event, I put it on the blog, where we're keeping track of places to go, places gone, food consumed. I'm now trying to update in four places. Here for lengthy ramblings and reflections, blog as travelogue, FB for brief and silly, and Twitter for whatever one can say in 140 characters. I also joined several Twitter NY things. I'm surprised I'm not more overwhelmed by it all, but being unable to sleep on East Coast time helps. No sunrises for me, I'm guessing.

Assuming Seff was able to enjoy his birthday. Hope the drawing makes you feel better. It always does me, your drawings I mean.
