The View

We decided to eschew (hah! I love that word) our customary routine today and go out for breakfast. The Brazilian Diner that has no name! Walked through Washington Square Park again, took another tourist shot with a view of the fountain and arch. Just for blue_sunflowers  I shall sometime post all my touristy shots in one go, but not today.


Day At the Beach, Downtown style


The Coffee Shop is cool, like an upscale diner in decor, with Brazilian food (tostones!) mixed in with the usual, a fancy full bar, and models (or ex models or hopeful models) serving you.



Wandered crosstown, stopped at a designy store and bought more stuff, still trying to make the apartment a little more livable. The "art" hanging in there has been driving me crazy, it's like the worst of hotel room "art" in ugly gilded frames. We found some cool gourmet paper for cheap, figured we'd make it work somehow. Decided to check out Chelsea Market that Lori had been to with Joe. Kinda reminiscent of home, with the emphasis on organic and local foods, mostly fancy and quite expensive. The T-Salon was so beckoning, because by this time we were exhausted and thirsty again. Have to remember to rest and rehydrate when you can; usually you're so busy looking at everything you don't notice that you are hot and tired.



The young fellow in the corner was in line behind us talking on his phone, and I couldn't tell at first if he was male or female. Would look good either way. 


Angling down Greenwich to head home; this view was more characteristic in person, with the brick-y buildings converging in the distance, but it doesn't show here. Decided to keep the pic anyway.

Back at the apt, digital-documenting and making plans for the Saturday party. We spend a lot of time here looking at the view, and once I'm on my own (I talked Lori into staying through the weekend!), even more so probably. Online, watching TV, staring into space. A lot like home. Different view, though.
