Rain day.

For some reason I woke up at 6 am, and it was raining! 

I had disbelieved the weather prediction on the iPhone. Good excuse to hang around and do not much, kind of like having a sick day. Lots of TV. Went out and got pizza, the first of the trip! Two Boots, kind of a cool place, though the pizza had too much cornmeal. I guess the Two Boots refer to "Italy" and "Louisiana." I liked the punk posters. Fancy kinds of ice cream, too, but I didn't get any, because I'm still eating cupcakes.

Well I'm making up for it now having eaten the same pizza for three different meals, and I'm plotting for which kind to try next.

I'm West Coast too (but Bay Area, so no scorpions!)--that's why I'm doing this, and you should, it's a place like no other. Thanks for reading!

Oh, that's rather amazing, since oddly I've met very few people online that are, though you think there's be tons of us! Hope all is good there, scorpions notwithstanding. I'm midway through a one-month holiday, and I do get flickers of homesickness.

The scorpions are not in the Bay Area - they're in our summer house, which is high in the mountains of an extremely rural Greek island.

Anyway, it's always a nice surprise to find someone from your neck of the woods. :) Enjoy the rest of your New York trip!
