Day 3: 100 word drabble

Continuing this crossover fic I've been working on for years; will mostly focus on the Buffy angle as that fits the fandoms for lands_of_magic...

(At the crime scene) Giles gestured toward Willow, waving her forward. "Take out that infernal device and look this up," he muttered, as Willow reached for her mobile phone."Dearg-du. Celtic. Female."

"Dearg-du," muttered Willow as she scanned the small screen. "Dearg-Du, meaning 'red-blood sucker' in Irish...based on a myth of a beautiful woman with porcelain skin, held captive by her cruel husband, who liked to draw blood from her. Yuck." Willow grimaced and looked at the faces of those around her--Giles, Dawn, Xander, and John Watson, with Sherlock and Buffy still examining the old door, Sherlock sniffing noticeably.

Day 4: 100 word drabble

"Ether, ether, what is the connection," Sherlock was muttering, as Buffy tried to pry open the rusted hatch on the battered door. Meanwhile, Lestrade was walking the perimeter of the small courtyard, with a policeman's alertness for anything out of the ordinary. Anything else out of the ordinary, that is, beyond the draping yellow caution tape and the motley crew of American youths, an English doctor, a supposed librarian, and a sniffing, peering consulting detective in a bloody greatcoat.

"She could not escape," continued Willow, " so had to resort to starving herself to death. Oh gosh, how sad this is!"
