Finally shook my mood.
Aug. 7th, 2009 12:48 amSorry, cut still messed up, but i give up.
It helped to talk to Karen; when I said to her, "I'm realizing I've gotten as much out of this trip as I'm going to" I suddenly felt better, even though I'm not sure what I meant. Heh.
It also helped to pack up a box of stuff and send it home. 20 lbs, 16x16x16, and I think I got a deal from the guy at New University Pen and Stationery down the street. He didn't want me to use the FedEx billing slip, wrote all my info on a slip of paper, told me his "guy" would be back in a while, and later emailed me with the FedEx tracking number. Huh? Only $30, so I hope it works out.
( Muppets below. ) ! It felt awesome to stand on, so grounding. It's part of the bedrock that underlies the whole Park, so that's probably the reason. The rock overlooks Heckscher Playground, which has things to climb on and fountains to run through. "The playground offers a range of play equipment including 14 swings, seesaws, and a wooden suspension bridge; it also features its own restroom facilities." Hee. It looks like a little hobbit town. KPC bought me some fairy dust at the tea place. We figure I can sprinkle it around for good luck before my soon-to-be-many dates. Hope there's enough. (Photo of playground by Kara S. at Yelp.)

It was such a beautiful day, with a cool undertone, that I felt positively euphoric. Didn't matter that for the first time this trip, I accidentally took the uptown, instead of the downtown train. AND, on the way home, I got a good picture of firemen. Hoh!
