August 7, 11:30 pm. Woke up this morning around 6 am thinking they'd started some massive construction, or destruction, project nearby, loud banging and crashes, like heavy machinery. Drifted back to sleep and re-woke at 10, realizing it had probably been the garbage trucks. Everything here seems to be extra loud, not just because of the collectivity, but in and of itself. Spent some of the morning taking pictures of the view.( Uptown... )
