The challenge at gameofcards is to do art/writing on the theme of playing cards. Up next: The Two. Like the Tarot they are based on, "regular" playing cards have meanings given certain schools of thought. This time I used the cartomancy interpretations explained here.

So, first, a Tumblr graphic with the qualities, then a picspam of various related pairings--mostly friends-types, since I'm not a huge shipper, but there is one category....You tell me if (1) you can identify the individuals; and (2) whether they fit the description! Remember, even concepts that seem to us to be "negative" can have positive meanings...

As a backdrop, I used the analogous Tarot cards from the amazing deck, Tarot of the Wild Unknown.

For a challenge at gameofcards--do a graphic on the theme of the tarot card The Lovers. I wanted a fandom with lots of variety, so I chose Glee.

For a challenge at gameofcards, to do something on the theme of the Tarot card The Tower. Described as: "The Tower is commonly interpreted as meaning danger, crisis, destruction, and liberation. Chaos — Sudden change — Impact — Hard times — Crisis — Revelation — Disruption — Realizing the truth — Disillusion — Crash — Burst — Uncomfortable experience — Downfall — Ruin — Ego blow — Explosive transformation." Okay, so it's rather literal, but this is what I thought of.

For a challenge at gameofcards, to do something to the theme of The Empress card in the Tarot. She is described as: "The Empress is the third trump or Major Arcana card in traditional Tarot decks. Some themes that the card represents are: Mothering — Fertility — Sexuality — Abundance — Material prosperity — Pleasure — Comfort — Power — Nature — Delight — Desire — Physical attraction — Health — Sensuality — Beauty — Satisfaction."
